A Diet That Kills

How far will you go just to have your desired body weight? Are you willing to risk your life for the sake of beauty? Are you dying to be thin? These are questions that mainly disturb almost 90% of women around the world. Funny it may seem, but it’s true.

Aside from politics, corruption, and showbiz news—a serious plight is occurring. And that is—ANOREXIA NERVOSA.


Anorexia nervosa is an aversion to food syndrome. In simpler words—it is an illness that causes a person to ignore intake of food. This type of disorder affects both mind and body. A person with this illness may start as dieting, but later on, it gets out of control. You only think about losing weight and dieting. You have a skinny physique and no matter how people say you are too thin, when you look in the mirror, you see yourself as a fat person.

According to research, 9 out of 10 women are anorexic. But some boys and men have it too. Untreated anorexia can lead to starvation and worst—DEATH! But the most important question is—what causes this?
Experts around the world find ways of discerning the main source of this disorder, but to no avail, it’s still undefined. However, psychologist explained cultural and mass media influences. And how television, internet, tabloids and magazines send message that promotes of thinness as the ideal female form in western industrialized nations. The never ending information of fashion, styles, health and beauty mostly affects an individual’s personality which leads to unhealthy lifestyle. It may have good effect for others, but for some, it could regulate into a distressing disorder.

A lot of people may have not known this serious illness. Perhaps because a person who is anorexic often strongly denies that they have a problem or they do not see or believe they do. And also for the reason that media doesn't’ usually open up to this propounding enigma.



However, the internet has enabled anorexics of expressing themselves with much lower risks of rejection. These sufferers reject the medical view that the disorder is really in need of curing and argue that anorexia is a “LIFESTYLE CHOICE”. They use the internet for mutual support, and to swap weight-loss tips. And sad to know that these communities encourage young women to develop or maintain their eating disorders and many were taken offline as a result.

In our society today, slim people are more accepted than fat ones. An even showbiz personality develops this type of illness in order for them to look good in front of the camera. Like for example, the fashion world! In which thinly size figure is known as the “SIZE ZERO”. But are you aware that a ban has been enforced on overly thin models in Madrid (Spain) due to many helpful wannabees—developing an eating disorder. Sad to know that death in some cases was somehow unavoidable because the patient—then becomes a victim of their own possessive thoughts, pushing them to meet with criteria which were expected of a young model when joining the catwalk trail.
Nevertheless, this ailment is not to be taken lightly. That’s why in all cause, a person with anorexia needs immediate treatment. If you have known someone who shows signs of an eating disorder, get help now. Early treatment gives the best chance of overcoming anorexia. This type of treatment can be costly, but it gives the best chance of recovery.

Therefore, why suffer if you could be who you are? Why risk your own life for something you can’t have? Proper diet is always healthy. Food deprivation is not a solution for beauty and fame. Besides, personality counts the most than a person’s physical appearance. Beauty is found within and not from the outside. So, say “NO” to anorexia and “YES” to healthy lifestyle.

5 Simple Ways on How to be Slim Forever

Dieting is a pain in the stomach and in the head. That's why, I don't do it anymore. I've tried every possible diet that could make any human body lose weight, but nothing seemed to work permanently. Once you stopped the actual diet, you're back again to your fat and insecure self.

Thereby, I decided to do a lifestyle change instead of doing a diet.

How to be fit and slim forever:

1. Be Determined.

Don't be a slacker and don't procrastinate. The reason you're fat is because you always wait for a perfect time and date to change your unhealthy eating habits. Don't wait, do it now! There is no such thing as the perfect moment for a lifestyle change. If you do it today, you won't be worrying about gaining weight once more and you can stop the bulging waistline in the future.

2. Be Realistic. 

Being healthy and fit takes time. Don't expect to lose weight instantly. Eating healthy means learning to control the amount and the kinds of food that goes in your mouth. Changing your bad eating habits takes months and even years of practice. Stop dreaming and start doing the right ways to help you lose weight.

3. Don't do a fast! 

Don't fast. Yes, fasting will make you lose a lot weight but once the fasting is over, you'll be gaining the lost pounds by two times more. Fasting has many benefits but if you lose control after the fast, your body will instantly bloat and you'll be even fatter than before.

4. Sleep, eat right and exercise!

Lack of sleep makes you eat a lot because of stress. Thereby, sleep at least 6-8 hours a day. If you have a very hectic work schedule, drink vitamins and eat organic food. Don't gorge yourself into junk foods. That would be disastrous!

Eat in smaller portions. Don't be like a pig when it comes to portion sizes. Learn to choose healthy foods. Eating fruits and vegetables increases the metabolism to lose weight.

And lastly, exercise. It will help you lose weight faster.

5. Apply the healthy eating habits in your life forever! 

You're almost there. Don't stop and be more confident on becoming fit and healthy. Remember, total change starts from within.

The Diet Cycle

You're fat and you don't know the reason behind the weight gain. You're 20 pounds or so over weight and you cried because you didn't know what went wrong. You did the diet, went to the gym to exercise and declined every night out party invites of your so-called friends. Little did you know that while you're avoiding all the calorific food and beverages, you secretly binge in junk foods and you don't eat vegetables or drink enough water to detoxify your body.


In your room, you try to fit all the sizes you bought last month but none of them would fit. You slam yourself on the bed and cried even more. You're thinking that your friends who haven't met you in 2 years will definitely tease you on how fat you are. And they'll be saying things like, "You need to lose weight and you should do a diet." They'll give you weird diet tips and then you'll get confuse on which one to choose. 

Thankfully that same day, someone advice you on doing a diet that would make you lose 10-20 pounds in one week. Excited due to the big results, you decided to finally do it. 

On your first day, you want to give up already. You didn't think it would be that hard and difficult. You wished you never threw all the potato chips, the delectable Italian pastas and the cheese you brought imported from some foreign country. However, you were able to pass the temptations and so you lost about 40 pounds in two weeks. 

Proud and amplified about your slimmer self, you went out shopping and started bragging it to your friends and colleagues. Two weeks later, you're not concerned about the food you eat anymore and so you started the gorging and purging cycle once again. 

After three months, you started crying and regretting  yourself once more. And then another diet cycle begins. 

  

The ATKINS Diet really does Work!

There are so many controversial issues about the highly well-known diet called the Atkins Diet. Some scientists say it's dangerous and some say that it's good for the body. But for whatever reason, I decided to try it for myself. 

I have always struggled on my weight ever since I was in Grade School. There's a time when I've been really fat and a times when I was really thin. And finally I got fed up with all the diet thing so I tried to skipped the low-calorie diet and decided to do the fasting, which is very difficult. I felt like dying during those times. I don't get to eat anything except water, juice and green tea. I was always in a bad mood.

Nonetheless, I was able to lose 40 pounds when I did the 30-day fasting. Sure, it was breathtaking to see yourself on the mirror looking so slim. But it did not end there. When I started eating again, I started gaining the lost pounds all over again. And like a starving elephant, I gorge myself into eating a lot of calorific foods and then after a month or so, I was fat again.



Fortunately, I read this article about the Atkins Diet. I was very interested and so I did more researches. There were so many positive and negative feedback from experts all around the world.

The result was astonishing! 

I lost about 10 pounds in one week!! The good news is--I didn't have to starve myself for the first time. I feel full everyday. Now, that's just amazing!! 

Today, I decided to stick to the Atkins diet until I lose the extra pounds and be on my ideal weight once again. A miracle like this, doesn't happen every day. 

Dr. Atkins was a genius! Thanks to him. I don't care about the negative feedback of the other people about this diet. There's still no enough evidence to full prove that it's harmful to the body,  and so I'm sticking to the Atkins Diet! 

Diet and Fasting: Just eat right and be healthy!

Admit it or not, dieting is just so very hard. If only you have the power to lose the weight while eating instead of gaining a pound, that would be really great. But the world is full of tricks and temptations. And the challenge to control oneself becomes hardly an impossible thing to do.



 Fasting is not really that bad only if you don't overdo it. Fasting is like a drug. It can be addictive if you lose control. That is why people who are too concerned about their body weight but are too lazy to exercise do this kind of crazy diet.



If you research about fasting, the health advantages are endless. But like any other things we do everyday, too much is definitely bad.

Food addiction can lead to complications and so is food deprivation. The human body can't always take too much of something that is bad and a person who is suffering from obesity and anorexia are quite in the same case. 

Thereby, the best way to be fit and healthy at the same time is not to do the diet. You can still lose weight by eating healthier food and exercising.
